A friend of mine who I worked with at The Labrador Rescue passed away yesterday. He was at a health club and collapsed, he was rushed to the ER where he later died. As of yet I dont have any specific details.

It was a good day yesterday, even though it was nasty outside with the snow and ice John was released from the hospital and is now home. This all happened very fast, within 9 days he was fine…chest pains….ER….nothing wrong, sent home…..chest pains again….back to ER..angioplasty….Six Way Heart Bypass…Recovery in the ICU…..Back Home

I just took a call from my mom and she told me that they took John off of his respirator. This is huge news, and is a great hurdle for him to get over. So he is no longer sedated, and is just resting.

Okay, so John’s surgery went well. They had to do six by-passes, and were able to do it it only 4 1/2 hours. The staff at Mercy Hospital of Anderson have been really great, they have been attentive to John’s needs and the needs of my mother.

On Friday John was rushed to Anderson Mercy Hospital with chest pains, at the time they did blood tests and and an EKG and said that he did not have a heart attack. He stayed overnight and they monitored him and he was doing okay, he went home on Saturday and things seemed alright.
